Term 1
Disney Animated App
The first thing I did in Mr. Adams class was help him figure out an app that he had downloaded onto his iPad. The app was called Disney Animated. I basically outlined the app, which was like a textbook for the animating process.
Stop Motion Board
For this project, another student and I made a stop motion box out of posterboard and duct tape. It will hold the camera when making a stop motion video. Since it is tall, the creator will be able to see the whole whiteboard they will be working with.
SB Logo
For this project, I was asked by the athletic director to rework the SB so that it wouldn't become pixelated and blurry when it got blown up. To do this, I traced the SB in Adobe Illustrator. I later learned that my SB logo would be featured on the new football field scoreboard, and possibly on the new gym's floor!
Thayer Street
On Thursday, October 17, 2013 all the graphics classes went to Thayer Street in Providence, Rhode Island. My Advanced Graphics class didn't have a specific project, so we went as guides for the Graphics I classes. I helped my friends with collecting information for their projects, which were under the categories of beauty and entertainment.
Somerset Berkley Raider Logo
For this project, Mr. Adams was asked again to have a student rework the school logo so that when it was blown up it wouldn't get blurry and pixelated. I am working with another student to make the logo. We have to use the pen tool to trace each individual piece. I started with the sword, then moved down to the right hand and arm. I then did the helmet, and the raider's chest. Then I did the horse's blanket. Next, I started the horse's face mask and eyes. Then I did the rest of the horse; the head, neck, ears, and mane. I've done the reins and left arm, also. I have completed the raider's left hand. I am now done with my part, and have combined it with my partner's shield and banner outline. He was new to the pen tool, so it took him a while. There were problems such as the banner and letters that I fixed also. I have adjusted my partner's colors to colors that are in the same family as mine.
During this project I used new tools. I have used several brushes and effects, including shadows and the blending tool. I've used brush libraries, including creating my own. I have also logged each phase of my logo, printing after each class period that I have worked in it. I have noted changes and adjustments on them, and you can see that I have fixed them as time went on. I may be scanning those in at a later time.

This is the original logo.
This is my complete, finished logo. My newer logo WILL be featured in our new school's gym!
If it can not be in the center of the courts, it will be displayed on a wall.

Many times the Athletics Director uses the logo without the Somerset-Berkley Banner.
I was also asked to make the logo without it. Here is my logo without the banner.
