Final Reflection
I learned a lot this year in Advanced Graphics. I learned how to use the pen-tool for tracing and making objects. I also used the pen-tool to make Ben-Day dots. I used the symbol sprayer tool for use on my map, and the reflect tool for my t-shirt, in order to make it print correctly. I also used the clipping mask, which is now one of my favorite tools. I built upon my Photoshop skills by making a Polar Express ticket, and adding brushes. My most sucessful project would have to be my Polar Express ticket. I loved the way it came out with all the different opacities for the snowflakes and the gold writing. I think this project was the best because it worked for the kids theme and was wintery and Christmasy. If I were to re-do a project, it would be the maple syrup label. I was rushed while doing this, and it wasn't my best work. I would make it more rustic and actaually make it look like a label. My least favorite projects were the stop-motion animation projects. I liked the actual graphic design half of the year much better. I will use the skills I learned in the future because I am thinking about becoming a graphic designer. I will also use these tools and skills when I take advanced graphics next year, and making things like invitations in my personal life.
