Term 3 - Animation Project
Some pros of Moovly.com are that it has nice colors, a nice timeline, lots of animations to choose, and a separate timeline for each object. Some cons are that it has limited objects, is sometimes hard to use, only has basic shapes, is not interactive with users watching it, and is basic.
Some pros of GoAnimate.com are that you can type in words, choose voices, there are lots of backgroundsand props, characters can have actions and expressions, you can comment and make notes, and can title and tell what the animation is about. Some cons are that there are not many characters and restrictions for the free part. There is a vague tutorial, characters don’t have legs, you can't put text on the screen, and videos can also only be 30 seconds long.
Some pros of Wideo.co are that you can make objects move, it's easy to use and there is a timeline where you can change times easily. There are fun objects, fun graphics, and fun and interesting backgrounds. You can also animate each object, and the program is colorful. However, some cons are that there is not as many backgrounds, you can't make characters say things and speak, and that you can't draw freehand. Different times are confusing on the timeline, and there are only egg-shaped people (not lifelike).
In conclusion, I will be using GoAnimate.com for my animation. I like how you are able to type in what you would like the character to say, and then choose their voice and hear it back. There are lots of different backgrounds, and props, which I feel will make for an interesting animation. Each character can have many different actions and expressions, which will really make the animation come to life. Also, when you start the animation, you title it and write a few sentences about what the animation will be about. I like this tool because it allows for more organization. Also, you can comment on videos and look at other people’s animations.
